Vick hoping for chance to help

Michael Vick said Tuesday that he understood Andy Reid’s decision to withhold him from Sunday’s season finale, which the Eagles lost 24-0 to Dallas and ruined their chance for a first-round playoff bye. Although Vick had practiced Thursday and Friday of last week, the quadriceps contusion that had kept him out of the previous game against Denver is “still sore in certain spots,” Vick added, but not hampering enough to keep him from playing against Dallas, his first postseason game in almost six years.
