Vick Ready For Return to Pro Football After Prison

Disgraced NFL star Michael Vick made his first public appearance for the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday and expressed remorse for bankrolling a dogfighting ring, an offense that sent him to prison. “I made some mistakes and did some terrible things,” Vick told a news conference to announce his signing for the Eagles. Vick will be eligible to play the Eagles’ final two preseason games and, if National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell approves, could join the team by the sixth week of the regular season in October.
