Vick’s return to field a quiet one

The anticipation for Michael Vick’s return to the NFL was great, both among the fans and throughout the NFL. The results weren’t. Vick, playing in his first NFL game since the end of the 2006 season, was used sporadically Sunday in the Eagles’ 34-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He got in for 11 plays, mostly out of the wildcat offense and didn’t do much, running just one time for 7 yards and missing on both of his pass attempts. To Vick, however, it was something, especially after spending 19 months in prison for running a dogfighting ring. He said he thought about that as he stood on the sideline during the national anthem.
