Westbrook no longer everything

In the past, the news that Brian Westbrook was missing his second straight game with a concussion would have been devastating, possibly derailing the Eagles’ season. Now, it is met with little more than a shrug. That’s not to say that the Eagles don’t need Westbrook. They do. They definitely could have used him Sunday night in a 20-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. But they’re not reliant on him to carry the offense like they were in the past. The Eagles had several issues that would have negated Westbrook’s presence, such as using all their timeouts by the 10:49 mark of the fourth quarter, with two of them coming on replay challenges that they lost.
