Jerry Jones meandered through a few thoughts Sunday evening, losing his place, and then he caught himself. “I’m doing a little Wade Phillips,” he cracked. That’s a feature that makes Jones likeable. He doesn’t mind making fun of the same coach he supports. But Jones showed his best trait after his franchise’s strongest late-season run in 14 years. Then, he could have said I-told-you-so, and he could have wagged his finger at the crowd. He instead was playful with Emmitt Smith, who had predicted the Cowboys would win seven games, and Jones went further.
