With Jackson out, it’s Cole at center for Philadelphia

The Eagles have their quarterback of the future in Kevin Kolb. However, it remains unclear as to who exactly will be hiking the football to Kolb when the team begins its 2010 regular season on Sept. 12 at Lincoln Financial Field against the Green Bay Packers. Jamaal Jackson, a Delaware State University product, had made 71 consecutive starts at center from 2005-2009 before suffering a torn knee ligament Dec. 27 last year. Jackson had surgery by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., on Jan. 5, but it remains unclear whether he will be ready to play by the season opener.
